This feature also offers clients the peace of mind of both instant access and utmost transparency.
When investing in a hedge, mutual, or exchange-traded fund there is a fixed expense to operating/managing the fund i.e. accounting, legal, administrative, regulatory etc. expenses. These expenses are borne by the fund’s investors and penalize returns. No such expenses are necessary in your RAM/Schwab account. In addition, due to the long delay in publishing there holdings and activity, both hedge and mutual funds are susceptible to style and fraud risk.
Quarterly management fee 0.25% maximum.
A sliding-scale management fee of 0.25% maximum per quarter is charged to the account on the first day of each quarter based on the opening balance and adjusted pro rata for intra-quarter deposits and withdrawals.
No other management fees, advisory fees, performance fees, or expenses are received by RAM. 100% of Schwab trading-related commissions are paid directly to Schwab as generated. RAM receives no commissions or compensation from Schwab.

On October 1, 2010 the partnership was converted to, and it’s performance ported to, a mutual fund adhering to the Investment Companies Act of 1940 and regulated by the SEC. Past performance since the conversion are net of management fees (1%) and expenses (0.25%). The latter does not apply to SMA’s although all commission and other charges, fees and expenses are the responsibility of the SMA owner. The LP and the mutual fund were managed in the same style and by the same portfolio manager and advisor, RAM Capital Management LLC, since the fund’s inception on January 1, 1996. The past performance is not necessarily an indication of how an SMA will perform in the future.
